Although your pool gets most of its use in summertime, pool maintenance throughout the year is important and varies through each of the seasons.

As a pool owner, there are a number of steps you can take to ensure you keep your water playground looking it’s best and last for years.

1. Clean Pool Cover

Debris may have gathered on top of your pool cover, so before removing it clear it first with a leaf blower or broom.

2. Walls & Floor

Thoroughly clean the pool and vacuum the walls and floor.

3. Pump

Check the pump is working properly or organise a full pool equipment service by a licensed pool and spa technician.

4. Fittings

Check or replace fittings and check for leaks.

5. Chlorine Levels

Check the chlorine and pH levels every two weeks.

6. Check Skimmer

Empty the skimmer basket when full. Occasionally check the water level is half way up the skimmer box opening.

7. Check Pressure Gauge

Occasionally check the pressure gauge on the filter is not indicating ‘backwash’.

8. Pool Lights

Turn the pool lights on for at least 30 minutes a week to prevent build-up of moisture within the light and wiring.
